On September 11th, Yanqing witnessed the opening ceremony of the 2019 World Floriculture Expo. The floriculture industry is writing a new chapter of ecological development—“Beautiful Yanqing, Ice and Snow World”.

Yanqing has well echoed the concept “green mountains and clear water are equal to mountains of gold and silver”. Ecological development is highlighted by geological parks, countryside inns and booming floriculture.

Yanqing’s natural geological remains and unique geological culture have promoted its “geological tourism”. It has added vegetation, reduced pollution and restored ecological areas, the example being Yanqing World Ecological Park. It has improved the ecological environment and established the folk custom brand named “geological households”, turning its natural resources into attractions for tourists and ensuring a year-on-year increase in the number of tourists and the tourism turnover.

From the “Sea of Flowers on the Ground” to the 2019 World Horticultural Expo, the floriculture industry is bringing more economic benefits. The scene praised as “China’s Beautiful Countryside” is Beijing’s largest area of flowers, and one of the featured tourism items is “Tasting Delicious Food, Sleeping beside the Flower-Fields, and Watching the Flower Sea”.

Since 2015, Yanqing has given great support to the countryside inn industry by initiating Beijing’s first special incentive policy for the industry, establishing the first inn academy dominated by the government, the first inn platform, and the first cluster of inns in North China, thus promoting the development of countryside inns. Over the 5 years, a series of “exploration” and “initiation” have turned Yanqing into a fine model for inn development in Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei Area and North China at large.
