Luoyang and Shaanxi Jointly Organize Tri-colored Glazed Pottery Exhibition

Jointly organized by Luoyang Museum and Shaanxi History Museum, an exhibition of Tri-colored Glazed Pottery started on March 22 in Xi'an, capital of northwest China's Shaanxi Province. Among the total 131 Tang Sancai art works in the show, 51 pieces are from Luoyang.


Tri-colored Glazed Pottery relics were first found at the foot of the Mang Mountain in Luoyang, central China's Henan province in the early 20th century. It is a low-temperature glazed pottery with three major colors, yellow, green and white. The production was developed in the Tang Dynasty.


Tri-colored Glazed Pottery relics were mainly found in Luoyang and Xi'an. In the Tang Dynasty, these two areas were quite developed in economy and culture. People living in these two cities also communicated and exchanged a lot.


The exhibition will last for three months.
