The First International Forum On Innovative Urban Development Mode was held in Xi’an

On October 13th, Xi’an witnessed the start of the First XiXian New Area International Forum On Innovative Urban Development Mode themed on “New times, New economy and New cities”. The forum is designed to summarize the experience for exploring innovative urban development mode in Xixian New Area, explore the laws and methods of urban development, motivate cities to follow suit and promote high-quality development of cities.

Based on the theme of the forum, the presenters explained their understanding of innovative urban development mode from the perspective of economy, culture, environment and urban planning. They also analyzed the problems facing urban development and discussed the key drivers of innovative urban development.

In recent years, Xixian New Area has been playing the comprehensive function as a pilot area for exploring innovative urban development mode. It has a clear purpose of promoting innovative urban development and focuses on coordinated layout, livability, industrial innovation, inclusiveness and shared development. Now the landscape has taken on a new look, the motivation for development is strengthening and the life has been getting better. Xixian New Area is emerging as the new center of Xi’an, the key component of the central Shaanxi Plain cluster and the new growth engine of Western China.
