The 'Happy Chinese New Year·Charming Beijing Tianjin Hebei' activity made its first appearance in Barbados

On Jan 22 local time, the activity of 2019 'Happy Chinese New Year·Charming Beijing Tianjin Hebei' was officially launched at the theatre of the central bank in Bridgetown, Barbados.

The 'Happy Chinese New Year·Charming Beijing Tianjin Hebei' activity aims to share the joy and happiness of the Chinese New Year, one of the traditional Chinese festivals, and to give best wishes to Barbadian people. In the meantime, it has introduced the traditional culture in Beijing, Tianjin, and Hebei to the Caribbean area and showed the image of these three areas to Barbadian people. The activity has aroused the fervor about the Chinese New Year and the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei Region in Barbados.

During the activity, artists from Beijing, Tianjin, and Hebei gave performances of folk music, Beijing Opera, Chinese Kung Fu, and acrobatics to the audience. The wonderful performances won warm applause and cheers for the actors and immersed audience in the atmosphere of the Chinese New Year. Apart from the performances, people also watched exhibition of intangible cultural heritage from Beijing, Tianjin, and Hebei, such as Beijing Opera costumes, Tianjin Yangliuqing New Year pictures, and Hebei Wei County paper-cuts.
