The 3rd Longling Mountain Hiking Festival Kicked Off in Wuhan, Hubei Province

From October 18th to 27th, 2019, the 7th CISM Military World Games will be held in Wuhan, Hubei province. In order to warm up for the 7th CISM Military World Games, the 3rd Longling Mountain Hiking Festival kicked off at Longling Mountain Park in Wuhan on March 30th. Over 4000 hikers came to the park, enjoyed the charm of the spring and got prepared for the 7th CISM Military World Games.

The Longling Mountain Hiking Festival had been successfully co-hosted by Wuhan Development Zone and Wuhan Administration of Sport for twice. During the festival, hikers are required to start at the western gate of the park and walk around the Longling Mountain, finally back to the starting point. The whole routine is 10.5 km.

To experience the features of the CISM, 100 hikers formed in phalanx. They wore stylish fatigues, showing their respect and expectation to the CISM Military World Games. During the festival, one can see electronic target practice area, filled with great joy and pleasure. In addition, more than 300 government functionaries, artists, model workers, students and volunteers from Wuhan Development Zone jointly sang a song Me and My Country to express best wishes for our country and cheer for the CISM.

Jiang Chucai, the deputy minister of the Publicity Department of Wuhan Development Zone, said, "This festival is one of the activities hosted by Wuhan Development Zone to celebrate for the coming CISM Military World Games. The only purpose is to encourage the citizen to participate in the activity."
