Two experts from West China Hospital of Sichuan University went to Italy to assist in epidemic prevention and control

On March 11, Liang Zongan, director of PCCM of West China Hospital of Sichuan University, and Tang Menglin, the head nurse of Pediatric Intensive Care, joined the volunteer team of the Red Cross Society of China and flew to Italy. They also carried relevant rescue supplies to support Italy in its fight against the epidemic.

Liang Zongan is the director director of PCCM of West China Hospital of Sichuan University, and the executive deputy team leader of the Sichuan Province COVID-19 Treatment Expert Group. He has participated in SARS and H1N1 influenza treatment.

Tang Menglin is the chief nurse of West China Hospital and the lecturer of ICU specialist nurse training base of Sichuan University. She has 27 years of clinical nursing experience and is good at intensive care and nursing management, and the management of PICC technology in severely ill children.

This expert group was led by a vice chairman of the Red Cross Society of China. An expert from the National Center for Disease Control and Prevention, and five comrades from Sichuan Province participated in it. In addition to Liang Zongan and Tang Menglin, the experts from West China Hospital of Sichuan University, Tong Wenbin, deputy director of the Institute of Microbiology of provincial center for disease control, Ji Jin, lecturer of the College of Foreign Languages and Cultures, Sichuan University, and Qin Xiaoli, director of Chengdu Disaster Preparedness and Rescue Center of the Red Cross Society of China.
