Songtao in Tongren, Guizhou, China: Red Cross Society sent goods and materials to help the disaster stricken villagers

At 7:05 on July 8, a landslide occurred in Shiban village, Ganlong Town, Songtao Miao Autonomous County, Tongren City, Guizhou Province, China. At present, the landslide has caused a total of 79 households in three villager groups, Tianbao, Chenjia and Shijia in Shiban village. 19 houses have been buried and 60 houses have been damaged. After the disaster, Guizhou Province launched a | - level geological disaster defense response. The Red Cross Society of Guizhou Province quickly launched a rescue operation and emergency plan. It provided 80 relief support tents, 160 quilts, and 80 emergency family boxes provided by the Red Cross Society of Macao Special Administrative Region to Songtao affected areas. The family boxes contained rice, vegetable oil, towel, soap, paper towel, slippers and mosquito repellents and other daily necessities. (Article by Yang Yun)
