Second Affiliated Hospital of Xi'an Jiaotong University Publishes "Consensus on Diagnosis and Treatment of Cutaneous Basal Cell Carcinoma (2021)"

Recently, Skin Disease Department of the Second Affiliated Hospital of Xi'an Jiaotong University has, as the unit of the corresponding authors, published "Consensus on Diagnosis and Treatment of Cutaneous Basal Cell Carcinoma (2021)" on "Chinese Journal of Dermatology."

The Skin Disease Department of the Second Affiliated Hospital of Xi'an Jiaotong University is reputed as an influential skin tumor diagnosis and treatment center in the western region of China. As units of the corresponding authors, the department and Xiangya Hospital Central South University have, after completing the "Consensus on Diagnosis and Treatment of Cutaneous Squamous Cell Carcinoma (2021)", initiated the "Consensus on Diagnosis and Treatment of Cutaneous Basal Cell Carcinoma (2021)". As the corresponding authors, Proferssor Geng Songmei from the Second Affiliated Hospital of Xi'an Jiaotong University, Professor Chen Xiang and Su Juan from Xiangya Hospital Central South University, have worked together with experts on skin tumors from 46 domestic units, and completed the "Consensus on Diagnosis and Treatment of Cutaneous Basal Cell Carcinoma (2021)". Professor Geng Songmei, doctors Zhu Longfei and Peng Bin from the Second Affiliated Hospital of Xi'an Jiaotong University co-wrote the document.

It’s learned that the "Consensus on Diagnosis and Treatment of Cutaneous Basal Cell Carcinoma (2021)", which is based on the recent domestic and international literature and guidelines for diagnosis and treatment, has combined the status quo of domestic diagnosis and treatment,  integrated opinions of experts from multiple disciplines, and focused on the clinical manifestations, diagnosis, risk assessment and treatment of cutaneous basal cell carcinoma, to provide references for standardized clinical diagnosis and treatment.
