The year 2024 marks the 25th anniversary of Macao's return to the motherland. Like a precious pearl on the Maritime Silk Road, Macao plays a key role in sharing Chinese tea with the world. From this lively port, each delicate tea leaf has embarked on a journey across the globe, finding its way into the hands of tea lovers everywhere.
On this occasion, Loulan Platform Operation Center of CRI Online and Culture Programming Department, English Language Programming Center of CGTN co-hosted "The 2nd Silk Road Expo — The Journey of a Tea Leaf: From Macao to Morocco" at Chunzao Yard in Beijing International Sculpture Park. As key highlight of the event, the special program "UniTea: Macao Tea Melody," united friends from around the world to share their love for tea, using it as a medium to showcase the exchange and mutual learning between Eastern and Western civilizations.
Leong Kit Chi, Chief of the Office of the Macao SAR in Beijing, delivered a video message for the event. In this video, we invite you to hear her sincere best wishes.
