Zhu Que Tang, iQIYI's Flagship Mini Series, Surpasses 5 Million RMB in Revenue Sharing in Six Days
On July 4, Zhu Que Tang debuted on iQIYI, generating 5 million RMB in revenue sharing within six days. According to data from Enlightent, the series ranked No. 1 on the effective playback dominance performance chart for six consecutive days since its premiere, capturing 44% of effective viewership—a historic record in the mini series content category.
Adapted from Guimaxing's novel of the same name and starring Wan Qian and Qin Junjie, the series is set in Republican-era Shanghai. Following a string of bizarre murders, three young people from vastly different backgrounds form an alliance to expose the conspiracy behind the secret organization "Zhu Que Tang." The drama blends suspense with deeper themes such as female awakening, human complexity, and power struggles.
iQIYI launched its "Premium 100 Mini Series" initiative and the "Mini Series with Long-Form Drama Production" initiative earlier this year, aiming to release over 100 high-quality mini series and more than 10 top-tier titles produced to the standards of full-length dramas. As the flagship production under the latter initiative, Zhu Que Tang features cinematic-level production. The opening episode immediately dives into a gripping mystery, setting a fast-paced tone for the entire series.
