Recently, the Emei Intangible Cultural Heritage Parade and Performance was brilliantly showcased, offering citizens and tourists a visual and cultural feast. At the event, Emei martial arts, Muchuan grass dragon, Mabian Miao ethnic Lusheng dance, Qianwei Luocheng Kirin lantern, and over 10 national, provincial, and municipal-level intangible cultural heritage projects from Leshan were showcased in a parade performance, igniting the holiday excitement.

At 7 p.m. that day, with the rhythmic beats of the drum corps, the parade procession made its grand appearance in full costume. Two themed floats, 13 performance groups, and a 500-member troupe sang and danced, igniting the enthusiasm of the audience with their spectacular performances. The Muchuan grass dragon soared and danced, the Yi folk songs from Ebian were performed in their authentic form, the Jiajiang yangge dance was lively and playful, and the Emei Lianxiao featured simultaneous drumming and singing. One intangible cultural heritage project after another was showcased, leaving the audience dazzled.

During the parade performance, the provincial-level intangible cultural heritage of Emei Lianxiao and the national-level intangible cultural heritage of Emei Martial Arts were particularly captivating. Emei Lianxiao, which originated in the Sui Dynasty, integrates dance, rap, and music, boasting a unique style and conveying auspicious meanings. Emei Martial Arts, tracing back to the Spring and Autumn Period, blend Confucian, Buddhist, and Taoist traditions, with 68 distinct martial arts schools. The live demonstrations, showcasing a perfect balance of strength and grace, drew spectators to take photos in admiration.

It is learned that in addition to the intangible cultural heritage performance, Emeishan City offered 12 major events, 14 wonderful attractions, and numerous specialty foods during the National Day holiday, providing visitors and residents with a wide range of activities. Events such as intangible cultural heritage flash mobs, cultural markets, and food-themed park tours allow visitors to not only appreciate the heritage but also experience the unique charm of Emeishan City.
