During the National Day holiday, Jinjiang District in Chengdu hosted the 2024 "Leisurely Delight in Jinjiang" Street Art Performances to celebrate the occasion. For seven consecutive days, nine different locations across the district were transformed into vibrant stages, offering local residents and tourists alike a stunning series of artistic spectacles. These performances have added a splash of color to the streets, becoming a beautiful sight in themselves.

Sichuan Opera Face-Changing Performance at Dongmen Town

Stepping into Dongmen Town, visitors were captivated by a mesmerizing Sichuan Opera face-changing performance. In the rich, traditional atmosphere, the performer, dressed in a resplendent costume, enchanted the audience with a swift wave of the hand or flick of a sleeve, changing masks in an instant. Fiery reds, inky blacks, and snowy whites—each face appeared like magic, leaving spectators in awe.

Sichuan Opera face-changing performance at Chunxi Road

Meanwhile, in the splendid Chuntai Market section on Chunxi Road, street performers engaged passersby in a lively singalong, belting out heartfelt tunes that radiated both love for life and blessings for the nation. The contagious energy of the performance drew the crowd in, as they joined the chorus and immersed themselves in the festive atmosphere.

In addition to these highlights, venues such as the Chicony Department Store, Hejiang Pavilion Bridge, and the Twelve Monthly Fairs Museum were buzzing with diverse artistic performances. From the laid-back strumming of guitars and the graceful elegance of water sleeve dances, to the soulful melodies of traditional Chinese instruments, each act offered visitors an unforgettable artistic feast during this special holiday.
