The 137th China Import and Export Fair (Canton Fair) opened on April 15, with over 20 enterprises from Chengdu’s Wuhou District showcasing their distinctive products.

This year, Wuhou District has prioritized the global expansion of “Rong Products” (Chengdu-branded goods), implementing multi-faceted measures to support local businesses in penetrating international markets. Through government-led full-cycle services and enterprises’ diversified strategies, a collaborative public-private effort is driving the integration of domestic and foreign trade, propelling “Wuhou-made” products to set sail for global success.

At the Canton Fair, a range of “Wuhou-made” products drew attention from global buyers. Wuhou District has established a synergistic matrix involving government departments, platforms, business associations, and sub-district offices, identifying 20 key enterprises for targeted cultivation and curating a list of over 120 priority products. Focusing on footwear, home furnishings and appliances, equipment manufacturing, and cultural-creative goods, the district is actively nurturing leading enterprises to elevate the global influence of the “Wuhou-made” brand.

This year, leveraging “cross-border e-commerce + industrial clusters” initiatives, Wuhou has created a “Wuhou-Made, Global-Sold” exhibition zone and organized enterprises to participate in at least five international trade fairs, ensuring “Rong Products” not only go global but also embed deeply into overseas markets.

To address challenges in global expansion, Wuhou has established the Three Kingdoms Foreign Trade Service Center, offering one-stop cross-border trade solutions: foreign trade certification processing, overseas marketing, customs clearance and logistics, overseas warehousing, supply chain financing, credit insurance, compliant cross-border settlements, and tax advisory services. This comprehensive support system fortifies the international journey of “Rong Products.”

Through policy empowerment and platform innovation, Wuhou is injecting robust momentum into the global outreach of “Rong Products.” Local enterprises, meanwhile, are embracing transformation and diversifying strategies to pioneer new trade pathways.

Moving forward, Wuhou will focus on digital marketing, brand building, and industrial chain collaboration to propel more “Wuhou-made” products onto the world stage. The district will deepen its “enterprise outreach, problem-solving, optimization, and growth promotion” initiatives, intensifying engagement with key foreign trade enterprises to identify high-potential candidates for global markets, thereby enhancing the competitiveness and brand value of “Rong Products” worldwide.
