During the Golden Week of May Day this year, Zigong will hold over 60 activities to enrich the cultural and tourism resources, offering tourists diverse tourism experiences.

Zigong·Chinese Lantern World will host the 31st Zigong International Dinosaur Lantern Festival’s “Lantern Splendor for May Day” special performances, and present the special shows named “Lanterns Illuminating China · Vibrant Zigong”. Also, other activities include NPC Interactive events such as “Guochao (Chinese Chic) Merchants”, “Welcoming the God of Wealth”, and “Alice’s Fantasy Journey Parades”, alongside drum performances and drone displays.

Zigong Fangtawild Dino Kingdom will extend daily operations to 12 hours, featuring dual-themed “daytime + nighttime” parades and over 30 extended-hour themed attractions. Interactive photo spots like “Guarding the Earth” and “Pact of Light” integrate anime IP with real scenes. Also, visitors can enjoy spectacular events including the Cyber Dinosaur Parade, Light Parade, Light Ceremony, drone-powered Time-Space Light show, and grand fireworks displays.

This May Day, rural tourism activities in Zigong will be splendid and diverse. Xianshi Ancient Town will host kite flying, egg collecting, zongzi making, sachet crafting, shuttlecock kicking, woodcarving, and farming experiences. Zhaohua Ancient Town will adopt a “Song Dynasty culture + Immersive experience” approach to create a fully immersive time-travel journey. The town will create a cultural IP revolving around “enjoying Song banquets, playing Song games, wearing Song attire, and trading with Song currency”, offering visitors a holiday experience that combines cultural depth with interactive fun.
