On April 25, the 11th Sichuan International Travel Expo kicked off in Emeishan City, Leshan. Following its March debut in Chongqing, the Southern Sichuan and Western Chongqing Cultural Tourism Integration Development Alliance once again showcased its offerings at the expo, inviting travelers nationwide to embrace a "poems and dreams" experience during the upcoming May Day holiday.

As the 2025 rotating chair unit of the alliance, Zigong City partnered with Chongqing’s Dazu District and Sichuan’s Luzhou, Neijiang, and Yibin cities to present a unified exhibition. The alliance’s booth drew inspiration from the traditional residential architecture of Southern Sichuan and Western Chongqing, vividly highlighting regional cultural elements and immersing visitors in the distinctive charm of Bashu culture.

Visitors savored fiery Zigong cuisines like Leng Chi Tu (Cold-Eaten Rabbit), Leng Chi Niu Rou (Cold-Eaten beef), Shou Si Tu (Shredded roast rabbit meatt), and spiced rabbit heads and legs. Artisans drew attention with intangible cultural heritage items such as Huangshi straw weaving and tie-dye silk scarves. A life-sized fluffy dinosaur sculpture became a popular photo spot, while a lucky draw gave away prizes including tickets to the 31st Zigong International Dinosaur Lantern Festival, gourmet snacks, and themed bookmarks.
For the May Day holiday, Zigong has rolled out over 60 cultural activities, including folk performances, intangible cultural heritage workshops, science-themed tours, and ancient town excursions. Popular attractions like Zigong·Fangte Dinosaur Kingdom and China Lantern World will offer discounted combo tickets. Zigong invites travelers to explore its unique identity as the Millennia-old Salt Capital, Land of Dinosaurs, and China’s Lantern City. (By Li Man)
