On the evening of May 29, the 13th Daqian Dragon Boat Economic, Trade and Cultural Expo kicked off in grandeur by the Tiancheng Lake in Neijiang.

Dance performance

At 8 p.m., as twilight deepened, the lakeside was "ignited" by a dazzling interplay of colorful lights, staging a spectacular audio-visual feast that blended art, technology, and culture. Against the backdrop of Tiancheng Lake's landscape, multiple LED screens showcased the beauty of its mountains and waters. Laser lights and illuminated installations along the shores created a mesmerizing atmosphere of sound, light, and electricity.

The opening ceremony's performances became the highlight of the night. Over two hours, a thematic show titled "Da Qian's Poetic Rhythms, Neijiang's Zongzi Passion" dazzled the audience. More than 1,000 professional performers, university students, and local residents took the stage, presenting 14 acts that fused dance, poetry recitals, acrobatics, and Sichuan opera. These performances not only celebrated Neijiang’s cultural heritage but also stirred waves of excitement among the crowd.

Drone performance

Over 2,000 drones took flight in synchronized formations, painting the sky alongside cold fireworks and cascading flames. Meanwhile, "water spiders" (performers) wowed the audience by leaping from the lake’s surface with fiery kettles and molten iron sparks.

Dragon dance performance

A standout moment was the appearance of a 140-meter-long golden dragon gliding across Tiancheng Lake, its innovative design stealing the spotlight.

Drone performance

As a celebration for the public, the ceremony also honored 33 role models from various fields, including "Good Samaritans of China," national moral nominees, and Sichuan Provincial Moral Model, let ordinary heroes take center stage at the grand event.
