The 12th World Games 2025 will be held in Chengdu this August. Recently, Jinjiang District has launched 15 "World Games Spaces" featuring micro plazas and knowledge corners, inviting residents and visitors to immerse themselves in the event’s atmosphere and learn about the Games in advance.
At Shuijingfang Sports Park in Jinjiang District, the "World Games Space" micro plaza has become a popular spot for photos, with the event’s mascots "Shubao" and "Jinzai" drawing crowds. "Shubao" and "Jinzai" are modeled after Sichuan's iconic "twin treasures"—the giant panda and golden snub-nosed monkey. These two species both share their origins in Sichuan and coexist as companion animals in nature. And they form a perfect visual and symbolic pair: one monochrome and cuddly, the other vibrantly colorful and playful, creating a harmonious contrast in both appearance and spirit.The two mascots’ features not only reflect the spirit of sports — self-challenge and wisdom-driven struggle — but also align with Chengdu’s balanced and harmonious city vibes.

In addition, the micro plaza also features knowledge displays about various World Games activities such as Muay Thai, softball, and billiards, allowing people to explore the unique charm of these sports.

The “World Games Spaces” not only showcase the visual symbols of the Games but also serve as a platform for popularizing knowledge, spreading culture, and experiencing activities related to the event. The knowledge corners of the “World Games Spaces” provide basic information about the Chengdu World Games, including its emblem, slogan, mascots, and competition events. "The slogan for this year’s Games is 'Boundless Sports, Countless Wonders'." At the scene, community volunteers are patiently explaining the relevant details about the World Games to the audience with residents sitting together, listening attentively, and eagerly anticipating the upcoming event.
