On July 28, the “World Games Superior Athletes Squad Tour Jinniu” cultural experience event kicked off at Chengdu’s Chengbei Gymnasium.

The event brought together an all-star team of athletes and media personalities, including Ren Bingliang from the Chengdu Breakdance Team, Liu Bo from the Chinese National Flying Disc Team, and world parkour champion He Yiyu, along with Gao Han, a sports host from China Central Television. Together, they formed the “World Games Superior Athlete Squad,” embarking on a two-day journey through the Chengbei Gymnasium, Chengdu Open Air Music Park, Tianfu Art Park, Shangxinqiao Park, and Fuqin Night Market. The experience combined venue-based sports challenges with city-wide cultural exploration.

Tianfu Art Park

In front of the Art Museum at Tianfu Art Park, a figure darted and flipped through the tiered steps—world parkour champion He Yiyu made a stunning entrance with an aerial somersault. This tour seamlessly integrated the trendy flair of parkour with the avant-garde art atmosphere of Tianfu Art Park. Within this immersive space—blending art appreciation, aesthetic lifestyle, cultural heritage, eco-leisure, and creative consumption—participants experienced the cultural charm and consumer vitality of both Chengdu and its Jinniu District.

Flying Disc Experience

Located along Chengdu’s North Third Ring Park Belt, Shangxinqiao Park has recently become a popular sports hub for locals. On the expansive central lawn, residents joined the “World Games Superior Athlete Squad” to experience the thrill and speed of Flying Disc under the guidance of Liu Bo.

Beyond sports, emerging local singer-songwriter He Jiaxin performed “Chasing Dreams”—a promotional song for the World Games—conveying through music that Chengdu is fully prepared and eagerly awaiting the Games.

This event leveraged the popularity of well-known broadcasters and athletes to raise public awareness of the World Games. While igniting a passion for sports across the city, it also showcased four signature integrated culture-business-tourism-sports scenes in Jinniu District. The initiative marks a significant step toward building Chengdu into a world-class cultural tourism city and an international consumption center.
