To the melodious tune of the World Games Chengdu promotional song “We Are Together”, starlight illuminated coffee culture as Yulin pulsed with artistic energy. “We Are Together” was originally composed for the Mixed Team World Cup Chengdu and later chosen as the theme song for the World Games Chengdu. The invitation to sports, issued from Wuhou, still resonates in the air, echoing the rhythm of sports in this midsummer!
When coffee meets art, a stunning performance of sand painting with coffee grounds amazed the audience: Yulin’s streets and lanes gradually emerged through the grains of sand, the sound of a folk singer’s guitar strumming lingered nearby, and café signs flickered in the interplay of light and shadow… Yulin came to life on the sand stage, piece by piece. World Games elements were infused into the opening ceremony—a passionate Muay Thai Wai Khru ritual performance, blending strength and ceremony, ignited the atmosphere completely.

Summer in Wuhou has a more vibrant way to open—during the “Wuhou Midsummer Shopping Festival,” Wuhou District launched three major themed consumption activities: “World Games Shopping Specials,” “Endless Summer Fun,” and “Vibrant Lifestyle Fresh Tastes,” allowing citizens and tourists to immerse themselves in the thrilling competitions while enjoying a rich and diverse wave of consumer trends and culinary flavors.
