At 8 PM on August 7th, the 12th World Games 2025 officially commenced at the Tianfu International Convention Center in Chengdu. As the grand finale of the opening ceremony, the Chengdu City Concert Hall Youth Choir joined forces with renowned children’s choirs from around the globe to perform Countless Wonders. The children’s heavenly voices shone like a dazzling star, illuminating the entire venue and showcasing the host city’s warm hospitality to the world, allowing everyone to hear the voice of Chengdu.

In May this year, the Chengdu City Concert Hall Choir received a formal invitation from the opening ceremony's directing team of the 12th World Games. After a rigorous internal selection process, a 70-member choir was formed. Under the guidance of their vocal instructors, choir members quickly immersed themselves in intensive rehearsals. From vocal technique to musical expression, from teamwork to stage coordination, this team makes progress every single day.

“It’s such an honor and a source of immense pride to be able to represent Chengdu and sing for the World Games,” said choir member Yong Han. “I’m truly delighted that my child can stand on the stage of the World Games opening ceremony—this will become one of the most beautiful memories in her growth,” expressed Liao, the mother of a choir member, from her heart.

In Chengdu, music is like the soul of the city, closely intertwined with the lives of its people. Here, choral singing is not only an artistic expression, but also a way of life—a yearning for and pursuit of a better life.
