On October 21st, local time, the 2025 China (Leshan) Culture and Tourism Global Roadshow - Spain was successfully held in the Assembly Hall of the Province of Burgos, Spain. A delegation from Leshan City in China's Sichuan Province gathered with representatives from the provincial and municipal governments of Burgos, and from the cultural and tourism sectors. With World Heritage as the bond, they engaged in dialogue about friendship and cooperation.

Leshan is located in southwestern China's Sichuan Province. This ancient city boasts a history of over 3,000 years, where rich natural landscapes and abundant human culture intertwine, allowing the thousands-of-year Chinese civilization to thrive on the land of Jiazhou (Leshan's ancient name). Leshan is uniquely honored as one of China's rare "City of Three Heritages," and it has a World Natural Heritage, a Cultural Heritage site (the Mount Emei-Leshan Giant Buddha Scenic Area) and a World Irrigation Engineering Heritage site (Dongfeng Weir).

At the promotion event, through videos, tourism presentations, and intangible cultural heritage displays, the representative speaker of Leshan comprehensively showcased its city image encapsulated by the theme "My Heart Yearns for It · Love Mountains Go to Leshan." and sincerely invited Spainish people to visit Sichuan, to savor the culture of Leshan, witness the unparalleled beauty of its landscapes, taste the flavors of its mala (numbing and spicy) cuisine, and experience the warmth of its hospitality.

Burgos is also a "City of Three Heritages," possessing the Burgos Cathedral, the Route of Santiago de Compostela, and the Archaeological Site of Atapuerca. Connected by their cultural heritage, these two cities met during the golden autumn season to jointly compose a new chapter in people-to-people and cultural exchanges across the long distance, injecting fresh vitality into cultural sharing and tourism cooperation between China and Spain.
