On October 28th, the first "Suitong" Community Culture and Art Performance Competition and its award ceremony were held in Chuanshan District, Suining City. The evening's performances and drone light show attracted over 100,000 viewers both online and offline.
Performance
During the event, residents from Suining, Sichuan, and Tongnan, Chongqing, presented a series of self-created shows. Songs such as "Sailing Together," "Beautiful Tongnan, My Hometown," and "Such a Beautiful Suining" expressed deep affection for their hometowns. The acrobatic act "Little Dear Sister" showcased the national intangible cultural heritage of diabolo, while the street dance "The Awakened Lion" radiated youthful energy. The original music piece "Qiongjiang Man" interpreted the spirit of perseverance, and the chorus performances "Never Forget Why You Started" and "Leading the Way" conveyed a powerful message of progress. The drone light show vividly outlined cultural symbols such as Suining's lotus flowers, Tongnan's lemons, Tongnan's Shuangjiang Ancient Town, Suining's Song porcelain, and Taode sandpots.
Drone Performance
The year 2025 marks the fifth anniversary of the development of the Chengdu-Chongqing economic circle. Suining and Tongnan have carried out multiple joint activities, strengthening their ties and achieving economic coordination, cultural integration, and shared tourism development.
Suining and Tongnan share "common historical roots and cultural heritage." This event, taking the "People's Stage" as a bridge, showcased the development and the culture of both regions. It highlighted their distinctive features, such as Suining's “freshness” and Tongnan's “green ethos”, allowing each to shine in its own way while creating harmony together, vividly expressing the cultural friendship between the two areas. Awards were also presented at the event for categories such as the CPC Party-building guiding grassroots governance and culture & art performances, fully demonstrating the prosperous vitality of the cultural and artistic sectors in Suining and Tongnan.
