On September 22, international influencers visited Mianyang China Giant Panda Park in Gulou Mountain Ecological Park, Mianyang Science and Technology City New Area, as part of the China Travel · Sichuan State of Mind—2026 Live Exploration and Immersion with Global Creators event. At a glass viewing enclosure, several giant pandas lounged lazily inside. Some visitors raised their phones to capture the moment, while others leaned closer for a better look, taking in the pandas’ relaxed daily lives at close range.

Jointly developed by the National Forestry and Grassland Administration and the Mianyang municipal government, the park covers approximately 120 hectares within Gulou Mountain Ecological Park. Construction was completed in October, 2025, and the park opened to the public on a trial basis on December 29 of the same year. Designed around a landscape of “two valleys flanked by three mountains,” the park places its animal enclosures in the two valleys. It features 54 giant panda enclosures, including near-natural habitats, free-range areas, breeding facilities, and disease-control and rescue units. Together, they form an integrated, full-lifecycle conservation system covering breeding, cub rearing, adult display, and rescue. The park currently features 21 giant pandas and 14 red pandas.
