This autumn, Guangwu Mountain in Bazhong, Sichuan, has turned the story of its autumn foliage into an animated film. Recently, Guangwu Mountain's first international promotional animated series, Awakening of the Red Leaves, has officially been released overseas.

Awakening of the Red Leaves was jointly produced by the Bazhong Culture and Tourism Group and Chengdu SeaArt AI, and represents a tangible outcome of the two parties' collaboration to explore the deep integration of digital culture and tourism with the promotion of overseas intellectual property. Set against the backdrop of the autumn foliage at Guangwu Mountain, the Bazhong Culture and Tourism Group has innovatively adopted the 'manga-drama' format—which is popular with overseas audiences—to promote culture and tourism internationally, bringing the autumn foliage of Guangwu Mountain to a global audience through this new digital medium.
At present, Awakening of the Red Leaves has been released on international platforms such as YouTube, TikTok, Instagram, Facebook and X (formerly Twitter), with several clips from the series going viral. Ancient maps, the Six Secret Seals, the Dragon's Roar in the Cloud Sea, the Ancient City of Red Leaves… A fantastical adventure spanning from Rome to Guangwu Mountain in Bazhong, Sichuan, is now underway.
