Beijing's Vibe of Intangible Cultural Heritage in Chinese Solar Terms-Grain Rain

On April 20, the last solar term of Spring, Grain Rain, arrives. Its name, meaning  "rain nurtures hundreds of grains," reflects that the weather is getting warmer and the rainfall is increasing, which is the best time for nature's vibrant growth.

The "Beijing's Vibe of Intangible Cultural Heritage in Chinese Solar Terms", a short video series jointly produced by the Beijing Municipal Bureau of Culture and Tourism and CRI Online, releases its episode of "Grain Rain". It highlights Beijing's intangible heritage–making technique of Jiao's immersion–branding gourds, showcasing how the inheritors use the vitality of nature to integrate the unique immersion–branding process into gourd creation, allowing the ancient skills to bloom with new brilliance in the circulation of solar terms.
