On December 30, the Symposium for Partners of the National Commission of the People's Republic of China for UNESCO was successfully held in Beijing. More than 200 representatives from UNESCO Chairs, UNESCO Creative Cities in China, and universities and enterprises attended the event.

The International Centre for Creativity and Sustainable Development under the auspices of UNESCO (hereinafter referred to as the "ICCSD") was invited to participate in the symposium.

At the symposium, a representative from the Secretariat of the National Commission first briefed participants on the Commission’s recent work. During the subsequent sharing session, speakers representing UNESCO Chairs, Category 2 Centres, Learning Cities, and Creative Cities respectively presented their latest research findings and practical case studies from their fields.

The atmosphere was open and engaging, with active exchanges and lively interaction. Participants held in-depth discussions on topics including strengthening coordination and collaboration with the National Commission, promoting exchanges and mutual learning, and advancing pragmatic cooperation. Through the sharing of experiences, common ground was built, and through dialogue and coordination, new opportunities were explored.

The symposium further clarified directions for multi-party collaboration and pathways for deeper resource integration. By jointly assessing the new landscape facing UNESCO-related work, reviewing achievements from previous stages of cooperation, and planning priorities for China-UNESCO cooperation in the period ahead, the meeting helped consolidate strong momentum in support of the long-term development of related fields.
