Under the theme of "digital technology connects ASEAN, and intelligence creates the future", the 4th China–ASEAN Information Harbor Forum was held in Nanning, Guangxi on November 26. More than 180 government officials, corporate elites, business leaders, experts and scholars from China, Laos, Vietnam, Malaysia and other ASEAN countries attended the main forum, which featured exchanges and discussions on topics including the development of the digital economy, intelligent interconnection, data interoperability and mutually beneficial cooperation.

The forum was held both online and offline. In addition to speeches by leaders and guests, the main forum also featured the release of the White Paper on the Construction of the China–ASEAN Information Harbor and a Digital Guangxi, which systematically describes the significant achievements in the construction of the China–ASEAN Information Harbor and a digital Guangxi. The China–ASEAN Digital Technology Exhibition was held online simultaneously, aiming to build an online exhibition hall covering next-generation information technology, 5G communications, artificial intelligence, intelligent manufacturing, e-commerce, smart cities and social governance. In addition, a number of project cooperation agreements were signed, and a series of project construction achievements were released at the forum.
Based on new trends in the digital economy and cutting-edge information technology, the forum sought to show the innovative development of China–ASEAN digital economic cooperation and the achievements in the construction of a "digital China". It also sought to promote policy coordination, facilities connectivity, unimpeded trade, financial integration and people-to-people bonds regarding the digital economy between the people of China and ASEAN countries. Similarly, it sought to open up a new chapter for the innovative development of China–ASEAN digital economic cooperation.
