Jiaozuo City Ensures Reliable Electricity Supply to Support the Sweet Potato Industry Chain

　　Recently, at the processing workshop of the Xiaoweiyuan Planting Professional Cooperative in Xiaoweiying Village, Xiwan Town, Qinyang City, Jiaozuo, Henan Province, staff from the Shen Nong Mountain Power Supply Station of the State Grid Jiaozuo Power Supply Company assisted the Cooperative in inspecting the electrical lines and equipment and identifying potential safety hazards.

　　“Recently, it’s the peak season for sweet potato processing, and the power load of the grinding machines is heavy. Thank you for coming to help inspect the lines and identify potential safety hazards,” said Zhang Xiaohui, the head of the Xiaoweiyuan Planting Professional Cooperative, to the power supply staff.

　　Since 2022, Xiaoweiying Village has leased 150 mu of land for sweet potato cultivation and established a planting cooperative. The Cooperative invested in sweet potato grinding machines and nooddle processing equipment, built sweet potato cellars and cold storages, and actively carried out research and development and breeding of sweet potato seedlings. This integrated industry chain, encompassing sweet potato planting, sales, storage, and processing, has turned the humble sweet potato into a significant industry, driving rural revitalization and increasing farmers’ incomes.
