Currently, during the peak season for chili roasting and marketing, the vibrant scenes of chili transactions can always be seen along the roads in Huaxing Village, Shuangmiao Town, Xiangcheng County, Xuchang City, Henan Province, China.

In recent years, Shuangmiao Town has vigorously developed the chili industry, with a planting area of approximately 20,000 mu (about 3,295 acres), producing 6,000 tons of chilies annually and generating an annual output value of over 100 million yuan. There are currently 52 chili planting cooperatives and 16 chili trading markets, contributing to the thriving prosperity of the chili industry.

The State Grid Xuchang Power Supply Company is fully leveraging its role as a forerunner in power supply. The Company has been continuously improving the grid structure, enhancing the quality of power supply, and optimizing service measures to support the growth and development of the chili industry.

To ensure a sufficient power supply for chili roasting and marketing during the harvest season, the State Grid Xuchang Power Supply Company proactively deployed strategies tailored to the unique electricity demands of the roasting period. They meticulously crafted a power guarantee plan and organized professional staff to regularly inspect critical lines and equipment in the chili-producing areas, ensuring a reliable power supply. Additionally, the Company actively arranged for staff to provide targeted services to chili processing cooperatives, visiting chili farmers in person to assess their actual electricity needs. Besides, they conducted safety inspections on roasting, screening, and automatic conveying equipment in cooperatives, trading markets and procurement bases, thereby promptly eliminating any potential hazards. These measures ensure the quality and yield of chilies and fully safeguard the increased income of chili farmers.
