The State Grid Nanyang Power Supply Company Bolsters Line Maintenance to Support the Development of the Shiitake Mushroom Industry

　　Recently, the Pingfa Agricultural Edible Fungi Industry Poverty Alleviation Base, spanning over 400 mu (about 65.9 acres) in Madeng Town, Xichuan County, Nanyang City, Henan Province, China, faced electrical safety hazards due to severe wind conditions. Upon learning of the issue, the Madeng Town Power Supply Station promptly dispatched staff, who efficiently addressed and eliminated the hidden safety concerns in just over an hour.

　　"During this period, the power supply station has increased the capacity of transformers and organized 5 kilometers of 400-volt low-voltage lines. Each transformer district manager supports 5 to 10 large-scale growers. If there are any electrical issues, they will rush to resolve them immediately upon receiving a call," said Zeng Yanhui, Director of the Madeng Town Power Supply Station.

　　To date, more than 8,000 rural households in Xichuan County are engaged in shiitake mushroom cultivation, with an annual output value of 350 million yuan. Since 2021, the State Grid Nanyang Power Supply Company has continuously increased its investment in the power grid, constructing and upgrading 120.65 kilometers of 10-kilovolt power lines and 105 transformer districts in Xichuan County, thereby enhancing the power supply capabilities.

　　In the future, the State Grid Nanyang Power Supply Company will continue to intensify the construction of distribution networks project to meet electricity demands for both household electrification and industrial development. This initiative aims to promote rural industrial development and rural revitalization.
