Jiyuan, Henan Achieves Full Remote Intelligent Patrol Coverage in Switching Stations

Recently, at the Guzhi Switching Station (10kV) of State Grid Jiyuan Power Supply Co., Ltd., Ge Zhanfu completed the inspection task within just 20 minutes by using the micro-application module of the i-State Grid distribution network status monitoring system on his mobile phone."Previously, it took two hours to inspect a switching station. Now, with remote operations on a mobile phone, our work efficiency has been significantly improved," said Ge Zhanfu.

Currently, all 35 of the 10kV switching stations under State Grid Jiyuan Power Supply Co., Ltd. have adopted the remote intelligent patrol mode, making the company the first in Henan Province to achieve full coverage of intelligent patrol mode in 10kV switching stations.

In March 2025, State Grid Jiyuan Power Supply Co., Ltd., focusing on the construction of a new type of power distribution system, utilized a smart IoT system to upgrade the intelligent assistant and AI-based visual equipment of the switching stations. Relying on dual applications of the PC terminal and the i-State Grid mobile terminal, the company has achieved real-time monitoring of the switching stations’ operation and push notifications of alarm messages within seconds.

By using the intelligent assistant and AI-based visual gateway, and leveraging the data channels of the IoT management platform, State Grid Jiyuan Power Supply Co., Ltd. has realized remote control of lighting equipment, water pumps, fans, and air conditioners in switching stations, increasing work efficiency by more than 200%.

Moreover, State Grid Jiyuan Power Supply Co., Ltd. has deepened the "cloud collaboration" application for intelligent operation and inspection of switching stations, allowing data analysis, storage, and display to be completed within minutes. Through technological means, the company has independently accomplished sensor identity authentication, data collection, and data transmission, ensuring precise equipment monitoring.

In the past month, State Grid Jiyuan Power Supply Co., Ltd. has completed two rounds of inspections of all switching stations within its jurisdiction using the intelligent patrol mode. Based on the inspection results, the company has precisely addressed nine safety hazards, including seepage and leakage, contact heating, and partial discharge.
