On August 12th, the journalist met with Jenny at the cultural exchange activity Silk Road &Young Dreams. She was recommended by the Kyrgyz Republic to participate in the speech contest of Chinese group and won the second prize.

In her speech, Jenny talked about her connection and luck with China as well as how she discussed with youth along the silk road to create and seize new opportunities in the future with the help of One Belt and One Road(OBOR).

Jenny said, after China putting forward the OBOR in 2013, Central Asia has firmly grasped the opportunity to broaden the ways of communication with China and other countries and have got back on the international stage. OBOR has revitalized the ancient silk road and provided a window for the Kyrgyz Republic, a landlocked country far away from the coast, to see the world. It has closed the distance with China and reproduced the friendship and mutual development between the two countries along the ancient silk road. She has also witnessed that OBOR has made ordinary people in the Kyrgyz Republic live a happy life, ‘There are more and more infrastructure projects in health care and education that can benefit local people in our country.’
