Foreign Teachers in One University of Chongqing Praise Local Culture of Qijiang

Recently, "International Insights - Experiencing Colorful Qijiang and the First Urban Experience Activity for Foreign Teachers from Chongqing Institute of Foreign Studies" was held, seven foreign teachers from France, Germany, Brazil and other countries went to the Qijiang Farmer Board Print Academy, Dongxi Ancient Town and other places in Chongqing to experience featured culture of Qijiang.

Walking into the Qijiang Farmer Board Prints Academy, one after another exquisite prints came into the view. With the explanation of the staff, the foreign teachers  appreciated the prints in great attention and learned in details about the history and characteristics of the Qijiang Farmer Board Prints. After the visit, they experienced making their own board prints under the guidance of the printmaking teachers, drawing, engraving, and printing by themselves.

In Dongxi Ancient Town, foreign teachers successively went to the ancient town exhibition hall, Maxiangyue Ancient Post Office, Nanhua Palace, Wantian Palace and other places to learn about Dongxi's long history, and experienced writing Spring Festival couplets, Tai Chi and other activities to feel the charm of Chinese traditional culture. "I am very happy to participate in this Qijiang cultural experience activity. I not only tasted the delicious Beidu fish of Qijiang cuisine, visited the beautiful Dongxi Ancient Town, but also was shocked by the featured culture of Qijiang." Jonah, a foreign teacher from Canada, still wanted more after the trip, and was impressed by the profoundness of Chinese culture.
