Brian Linden, from the United States, is the founder of a B&B called Linden Centre in Dali, Yunnan.

Over the years, Linden Centre has been devoted to the protection and dissemination of traditional local culture. About 200,000 Chinese and foreign tourists are attracted here to enjoy in-depth travel experiences, natural beauty and cultural customs, which has also brought more job opportunities and higher incomes to nearby villagers.

Linden noted that 38 years had passed since he came to China for the first time in 1984. He takes pride in being part of China's development history. "My life and experiences in the past 38 years were like a love letter to the country."
