From January 16 to 21, 2023, the 2nd episode of "Charming Beijing" TV series co-produced by Chinese and Italian teams made its debut on Milano Pavia TV and overseas social media platforms in Italy with the support of the Information Office of the People's Government of Beijing Municipality. The new episode's title is "What Will the Museums of the Future Look Like".
Beijing has many museums. It can be said that the whole city is a gigantic museum. In the second episode, Chinese and Italian anchors visited and learned about the Capital Museum online and offline, managing to understand and embrace the charm of Beijing from different dimensions and angles.
Comprehensive museums in Beijing like the Capital Museum are launching digital merchandise, aiming to vitalize the cultural relics and create "portable" museums for customers. The city has kicked off a new era of Internet+ for the culture and museum industry. These digital museums take a user-friendly approach, which allows people to explore the virtual cultural world, see, get to know, and interact with the cultural relics. The development of digital museums in Beijing has interested many overseas netizens who left their comments afterwards. Francesca, one of them, replied: "I want to see the museum they visited right now. Where can I download the official app of the museum?"
The series is also available on the new media platform of Fratellanza italo-cinese, an Italy-based cultural association, Italian anchor Giovanni Moreddu's Facebook account, and others. Incomplete statistics show that the number of views on all platforms has exceeded 1.422 million with more than 12,000 times of netizen interactions.
