The 'Cultural Auditorium Plus' Complex in Tonglu Yaolin Creates a Spiritual Home for the Public

This summer, Yong'an Village, Yaolin Town, Tonglu County, Zhejiang Province, has launched a "summer care program near your home" in its cultural auditorium. Volunteer teachers offered dedicated services, helping relieve the burdens of parents.

Here, children recited Asian Games-themed poems and ventured into creating poems; and drew pictures of the Asian Games in their minds with paintbrushes, to express their warm expectations and best wishes for the Asian Games.

Additionally, the inheritor of intangible cultural heritage paper-cutting in Hangzhou patiently gave lectures to children about the classification, themes, and common techniques of paper-cutting. The children listened attentively to the teacher's explanation and experience this art by themselves. With a pair of scissors, a piece of red paper, and a pair of skillful hands, they crafted an exquisite paper-cut work for the upcoming Asian Games.

Starting with a martial-art squat, the inheritor of Xiangshi Martial Art taught the children Hangzhou's intangible cultural heritage Xiangshi Neijiaquan (internal martial arts) here. Each move of it was neat and clear, which has ignited the children's enthusiasm for martial arts.

Such an auditorium is more than itself. It serves as a comprehensive service entity. Specifically, Yong'an Village Cultural Auditorium stands as a microcosm of the auditorium plus service complex in Yaolin Town. Integrating the Overseas Chinese History Museum, embedded sports venues, farmhouse bookstores, and cultural lecture halls, it gathers various cultural and sports resources and has become a spiritual home for villagers.
