First Lantern Festival of Dong'an Lake International Tourism Resort Lights Up

Recently, the First Lantern Festival of Dong'an Lake International Tourism Resort 2024 Chengdu, China has kicked off.

The lantern festival features six themed viewing areas, namely the Year of the Dragon, Peach Blossom Dreamland, Ancient Road to Shu, Brilliant China, Global Journey, and Future World. Employing sound, light, electricity, mist, and other technologies, it perfectly combines modern lantern technology with traditional lantern elements to present a visual feast to the citizens and tourists through meticulous planning and implementation.

The festival also offers a rich range of activities to provide tourists with the best immersive experience. For example, they can play the drum to interact with performers dressing like ancient court ladies, look for lanterns featuring their Chinese zodiac signs, and catch zodiac-themed dolls.

Additionally, the festival also sets up several markets to enrich tourists' experience. The intangible cultural heritage market highlights Longquanyi tea grinding, sugar blowing, sugar painting, clay figurines and other intangible cultural heritage. The food market provides a diverse array of local delicacies such as the cold served rabbit, Zhang Fei beef, and stove-boiled tea. The cultural and creative market has a wide selection of cultural and creative products such as Rongbao, Longdundun, and Shu embroidery.

It is reported that the festival will run until March 24, 2024.
