The 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China (CPC) has laid out the blueprint for national rejuvenation on all fronts through a Chinese path to modernization. The series “A Glimpse of China: What Does the Chinese Modernization Mean to the World” features the global resonance to Chinese modernization and presents interviews with experts and scholars from across the world, providing an external perspective on the scientific connotation and specific characteristics of the Chinese modernization. The interviews also discuss the referential potential of Chinese high-quality development for other developing countries.
Located in Central Asia, Kyrgyzstan is a friendly neighbor and comprehensive strategic partner of China. In this episode, Venera Akmatova, professor of Kyrgyz National University and a Kirghiz fellow of Beijing Foreign Studies University, shared her admiration for the highly open scientific and educational environment in China. From her perspective, China’s development seemed like a miracle. She points out that Chinese modernization combines the marvelous Chinese traditional culture with market economy, emphasizing the promotion of spiritual civilization while highlighting humanistic characteristics. Professor Akmatova appreciates the opportunities brought by the Belt and Road cooperation and the China-Central Asia mechanism for regional development, acclaiming that China has become a pillar of global stability.
