Recently, 62 FEU (Forty-foot Equivalent Units) of finished paper weighing approximately 1,612 tons which was transported from Russia to Humen, Guangdong, congregated at Jinan Port on the Xiaoqing River. This transportation marks the first practice of a multi-modal transport system combining road, rail, and water. Jinan Port, as the starting port of the Xiaoqing River, has further improved its comprehensive logistics transport capabilities by connecting with the Bohai Bay trunk and branch line routes.

The cargo entered through the China-Russia border, was transported via the Eurasian Continental Train to Dongjia Freight Station in Jinan, and then trucked to the main city port of Jinan. It was then transferred to the “Lu Qing 001” inland container ship, which connected to Weifang Port's central port area. From there, it was switched to a sea vessel and sent directly to the Humen Terminal at Guangzhou Port. The entire “land-sea connection” process after the railway station was meticulously planned and organized by Shandong Marine Group's Marine-river Port Company. The multi-modal transport system—combining road, rail, and water—stands out among many transportation solutions due to its low cost, energy efficiency, and convenience, making it the preferred choice for customers.

The launch of the "Jinan-Guangzhou" mainline service has injected new vitality into the economic development of the Xiaoqing River area and the surrounding regions of Jinan Port.
