"With temperatures continuing to drop and electricity demand increasing, we feel reassured seeing you inspect the power supply lines," said Chen Danhua, head of the Operations Department at Qinyang Hesheng Forest Wildlife Park, Jiaozuo city, Henan Province, China. This comment was made recently in the Asian elephant enclosure at Hesheng Forest Wildlife Park to staff from the Danhe Power Supply Center of the State Grid Jiaozuo Power Supply Company, who were providing on-site electrical safety services.

It is reported that Hesheng Forest Wildlife Park consists of two main areas: the Cute Pet Zone and the Predator Zone, housing over 10,000 animals in total, including more than 100 rare species. Small animals are highly sensitive to cold weather and may become uncomfortable when temperatures drop below 10 degrees Celsius. The park's heating equipment needs to operate 24/7 to maintain indoor temperatures between 18°C and 25°C, ensuring that the rare animals can get through the winter comfortably.
To meet the electricity safety needs, staff from the State Grid Jiaozuo Power Supply Company conducted a comprehensive inspection of the power equipment within the park. They focused on checking power lines, distribution equipment, switches, and sockets etc. through a thorough sweep to ensure all devices were in good operating condition. Meanwhile, the staff also gathered detailed information about the park's electricity requirements in winter and provided them with safety knowledge and emergency handling skills. This aimed to effectively enhance the safety awareness of the zoo staff regarding electricity use, ensuring a safe and reliable electricity supply for the animal park during the winter.
