Jiaozuo City in Henan Province empowers the development of its traditional Chinese medicine industry through a reliable power supply

　　Recently, the Huaiqing Chinese Medicine Planting Base in Jincheng Town, Bo’ai County, Jiaozuo City, Henan Province, China, celebrated a bountiful harvest. Staff from the State Grid Jiaozuo Power Supply Company visited the base to inspect electrical equipment and lines, ensuring reliable power supply for the processing of Rehmannia glutinosa.

　　Jiaozuo has a rich history of nearly 3,000 years in cultivating Huaiqing Shanyao (Chinese Yam), Huaiqing Dihuang (Rehmannia glutinosa), Huaiqing Juhua (Chrysanthemum), and Huaiqing Niuxi (Achyranthes bidentata). Renowned for their authentic quality and the unique characteristic of being both medicinal and edible, they have gained recognition both domestically and internationally. In June 2008, the cultivation and processing of the Four Huaiqing Chinese Medicine were officially recognized as part of China’s National Intangible Cultural Heritage.
