State Grid Sanmenxia Power Supply Company Implements Multiple Measures to Enhance Ice Resistance and Power Supply Capability

　　Recently, as temperatures have continued to drop, the State Grid Sanmenxia Power Supply Company has taken proactive measures and adopted multiple measures to effectively address sleet and freezing weather. These actions aim to minimize the impact of extreme weather on transmission lines and ensure the safe and reliable operation of power grid equipment.

　　The company strengthened proactive defense measures based on the characteristics of winter line icing. On December 23, the company organized specialized departments to conduct high-standard ice-melting drills, ensuring comprehensive preparation for winter ice prevention. In addition, the company strategically deployed of ice-melting devices in advance. Four sets of ice-melting devices were deployed in four substations including the 220 kV Gaocun Substation, ensuring full DC ice-melting coverage for 21 local lines prone to icing. It also upgraded the ice-melting equipment at six substations, including the 220 kV Lushi Substation. By adding ice-melting disconnectors within the substations, the ice-melting time for the lines was reduced from over 10 hours to less than 3 hours, significantly improving the ice resistance efficiency of the equipment within the substation.

　　The company will continue to strengthen monitoring and early warning systems, enhance inspections of key equipment, and maintain risk prevention and control as well as emergency preparedness under severe weather conditions. This effort lay a solid foundation for local power supply and ensure the safe operation of the power grid and stable electricity supply in the Sanmenxia area throughout the winter.
