On April 1, China Communications Construction Company Limited (CCCC) inaugurated its on-site training program for local employees in Kenya. The opening ceremony took place at the Green Park Pedestrian Underpass project site in Nairobi, which is being constructed by China Road and Bridge Corporation (CRBC).

The CCCC Kenya Local Staff Skills Training Center is designed to enhance communication efficiency between Chinese and Kenyan teams and promote cultural integration through practical, workplace-based instruction. The curriculum combines high-frequency “Chinese + Engineering” vocabulary with daily conversational Chinese, aiming to support the professional development of local staff and cultivate more compound talents for China-Kenya cooperation.

An Agreement on a Talent Development Program was Signed Between the Confucius Institute at the University of Nairobi and the Kenya Office of China Road and Bridge Corporation (CRBC)

During the opening ceremony, the Confucius Institute at the University of Nairobi and CRBC’s Kenya office signed a cooperation agreement on a “Chinese + Engineering” talent cultivation program. Professor Wang Shangxue, Director of the Confucius Institute, expressed her hope that this initiative would lead to the creation of a comprehensive set of “Chinese + Engineering” teaching materials tailored to the Kenyan context, and that the curriculum could be expanded to benefit additional China-Kenya collaborative projects in the future.

After the ceremony, Ms. Wang Xinyu, a teacher from the Confucius Institute, delivered the program’s first lesson to Kenyan employees.CCCC has been actively engaged in Kenya’s infrastructure development, having successively built a number of landmark projects such as the Mombasa–Nairobi Standard Gauge Railway and the Nairobi–Malaba Railway. These projects have significantly contributed to Kenya’s infrastructure construction and economic development, while also promoting regional economic cooperation and cultural exchange.
