Symposium and Screening of Light Pursuer Held in Beijing

To commemorate the 100th anniversary of the All-China Federation of Trade Unions and in anticipation of the upcoming National Model Workers Recognition Conference, a film symposium on Light Pursuer, a cinematic portrayal of Qian Haijun—a national model worker, “Role Model of the Times,” national moral model, “Most Beautiful Volunteer,” and employee of State Grid Zhejiang Cixi Power Supply Company—was recently held at Beijing Jingqiao Thermal Power Co., Ltd.

Qian Haijun Delivers a Speech

Qian Haijun attended the conference and delivered a keynote speech. Distinguished guests present included Zhao Huayong, Honorary President of the Microfilm and Short Video Branch of the China Workers' Culture and Sports Association; Zhang Xiaohui, former Director of the Publicity and Education Department of the All-China Federation of Trade Unions; and renowned actor Zang Jinsheng, among others.

Invited leaders, distinguished guests, experts, scholars, core creative team members, and enterprise employees jointly attended the screening of the film Light Pursuer. The film depicts Qian Haijun’s remarkable deeds: providing voluntary electrical repair services during off-duty hours, assisting over 100 lonely elderly residents in the community, supporting 27 students, and conducting more than 13,000 household visits.

Zang Jinsheng remarked, “When watching this film, I shed tears several times. It is an outstanding work that represents the country and the new era, reflects real people and real events, and showcases the great spirit of model workers.”

Pan Fei, Vice Chairman of the China Electric Power Writers Association, stated, “Among the scripts created to reflect the deeds of model workers during the screening process, the script about Qian Haijun’s deeds stands out among many. This film is an excellent feature that reflects contemporary model workers and ‘Role Models of the Times.’”

During the discussion session, the film’s producers, screenwriters, and directors shared their creative experiences. The participating experts and scholars expressed their thoughts and fully affirmed the value of main theme films that portray model workers and “Role Models of the Times.”
