Recently, in anticipation of severe weather conditions such as strong winds, State Grid Nanyang Power Supply Company proactively organized technicians to conduct a comprehensive inspection and reinforcement of facilities, including rolling shutters and tension wires at the morel mushroom cultivation greenhouses in Hebeiying Village, Xihuang Town, Xichuan County, Nanyang City, Henan Province. Additionally, they provided on-site guidance to farmers on electrical safety practices.

In Hebeiying Village, Xihuang Town, rows of cultivation greenhouses stand in orderly rows, where automated sprinkler systems emit gentle rain-like mist. Under these optimal conditions, clusters of brown morel mushrooms emerge from the soil like delicate umbrellas, demonstrating vigorous growth.

Morel mushrooms demand extremely precise growing conditions, where temperature and humidity control are crucial. State Grid Nanyang Power Supply Company has implemented a grid-based service model tailored to rural specialty agriculture needs. Designated grid managers conduct regular visits to growers, inspecting electrical control, irrigation, and drying equipment, while providing real-time weather alerts and electrical safety notifications to mitigate the potential risks.

“Stable power supply enables us to implement premium strain selection and precise climate control, significantly improving both the yield and quality of our morels,” said Peng Jinbao, director of the morel cultivation base. His operation, now comprising 43 climate-controlled greenhouses, benefits from stable electricity that bolsters confidence for future expansion.

Xihuang Township, located in a mountainous area, had its industrial development restricted in the past due to inadequate infrastructure. In recent years, the State Grid Nanyang Power Supply Company has continuously optimized the rural power grid and provided "one-on-one" power consumption services for characteristic industries such as morel and shiitake mushrooms. This has effectively accelerated agricultural technology innovation and scaled production.
