On June 19, in the vegetable cultivation area of Xiaojing Town, Bo’ai County, Jiaozuo City, Henan Province, rows of lettuce, celery, chili peppers, cucumbers, tomatoes and other vegetables flourished. Along the paths between fields, staff from State Grid Jiaozuo Power Supply Company conducted safety inspections on power lines and equipment using drones and infrared thermal imagers.

Vegetable cultivation is a traditional pillar industry in Xiaojing Town, with a planting area of 35,000 mu (approximately 5,765.8 acres).Amid persistent high temperatures, State Grid Jiaozuo Power Supply Company has implemented measures: Nine service counters have been established to provide fast-track channels for vegetable farmers, offering one-stop solutions for new irrigation electricity applications. The vegetable cultivation area has been divided into 16 service grids, each with a dedicated coordinator. These coordinators inspect power lines and equipment using drones and infrared thermal imagers, promptly addressing hazards such as tree obstructions and bird nests.
Through both “online and offline” engagement—via field visits and WeChat service groups—the company tracks farmers’ electricity usage and provides 24/7 support for electricity-related requests. Staff are stationed at farms during peak irrigation hours to resolve sudden electricity failures.
In recent years, State Grid Jiaozuo Power Supply Company has ramped up efforts to support agricultural development: accelerating the upgrade of grid infrastructure, optimizing power grid architecture, and enhancing supply reliability. During peak seasons, it implements an “on-site guidance and power supply safeguarding” system, injecting robust momentum into the agricultural sector.
