Recently, power grid operations in Nanzhao County, Nanyang City, Henan Province, faced challenges due to adverse weather conditions. The State Grid Nanyang Power Supply Co., Ltd. immediately instructed its production, operation, and maintenance departments to closely monitor weather alerts, enhance equipment operation management, and fully mobilize emergency response resources to ensure the safe operation of the power grid and reliable electricity supply.

The company maintains real-time communication with the meteorological department to monitor changing weather conditions. Grassroots power supply stations use three-tier WeChat groups to issue public notices, advising residents on electricity safety during rainy weather. Transmission and distribution line maintenance teams leverage infrared thermography and drones to conduct targeted pre-rain inspections by area and time period. Grid-based inspections are also carried out at transmission lines, low-lying substations, and distribution transformer areas. Previously identified hazards are being addressed and eliminated in follow-up inspections.

Customer managers disseminate early warning information and electricity safety tips to high-risk and sensitive users via grid-based service channels. At the same time, they reinforce flood prevention measures at office locations to ensure smooth drainage and uninterrupted communication.

In line with the principle of localized management, the company has intensified inspections of key transmission corridors. By increasing patrol frequency and shortening inspection cycles, it promptly eliminates any activities that may pose a threat to line safety.

At present, the State Grid Nanyang Power Supply Co., Ltd. has enhanced its emergency response efforts. Distribution network repair teams have been fully prepared for potential incidents during strong convective weather. Emergency repair vehicles have been deployed, and teams have been pre-positioned in nearby key areas to respond swiftly to any emergencies.
