Eco Forum Global Guiyang 2025 Opens

On the morning of July 5, the opening ceremony of the Eco Forum Global Guiyang 2025 was held in Guiyang City, Guizhou Province.

The theme of this year’s forum is “Harmonious Coexistence Between Humans and Nature: Global Collaborative Development for Green Transformation.” The event includes an opening ceremony, site visits, green investment promotion activities, and a series of events featuring the guest province. Centered on four major sections—Promoting Global Ecological Civilization and Sustainable Development, Coping with Climate Change, Biodiversity Conservation, and Multi-Stakeholder Collaborative Governance—the forum will host a total of 20 themed sub-forums.

It is worth noting that this year’s forum actively invites international organizations to organize thematic forums, marking the first deep involvement of international organizations since 2018. So far, 11 out of the 20 sub-forums feature participation from international organizations, with 4 of them independently organized by these organizations.

The Eco Forum Global Guiyang is China’s only national-level international forum themed on ecological civilization. It has been successfully held 12 times. With the goal of contributing to the global ecological civilization process, the forum aims to build consensus on ecological civilization, share experiences of green transformation, and has attracted wide attention from the international community.
