On July 29, 2025, the United Nations Sustainable Procurement Roadshow was held in Jiaxing, Zhejiang. The event aimed to strengthen connections between UN agencies and Chinese enterprises and to promote the achievement of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
Nearly 200 participants attended the conference, including representatives from UN agencies, procurement experts, and business leaders. Representatives from UNHCR, UNOPS, and UNICEF gave detailed presentations on UN procurement plans, procedures, and product requirements. They also provided specific suggestions on how Zhejiang enterprises can better participate in the UN procurement system.
At the conference, the Zhejiang Chamber of Commerce of China Chamber of International Commerce (CCOIC Zhejiang) and the Shanghai International Public Procurement and Sustainable Development Service Center signed a cooperation agreement to establish a long-term collaboration mechanism. The two sides will further strengthen information sharing and business coordination to help enterprises broaden access to international public procurement opportunities and address challenges such as limited capacity, lack of information, and insufficient supporting services in their direct participation in procurement activities.
