On February 12, during the Lantern Festival, a special "First Lesson of the New Semester" took place in the Electric Loving Classroom at Xin'an Primary School in Huai'an. State Grid Huai'an Power Supply Company partnered with the school to host the "Begonia Wishes, Little Hearts Set Sail" event, combining electrical safety education with intangible cultural heritage experiences. This unique initiative provided students with a memorable start to the new semester.

The event highlighted Liji Zhizha (a kind of paper art), a city-level intangible heritage culture project from Hexia Ancient Town in Huai'an. The exquisite paper lanterns and vivid depictions of characters from Journey to the West amazed the children, sparking their curiosity and excitement.

Volunteers then stepped into the role of "Safety Ambassadors," delivering an engaging and interactive lesson on electrical safety. Covering topics from the basics of electricity to practical tips for preventing hazards, they used interesting demonstrations to help students understand how to stay safe around electricity. The Electric Loving Classroom's advanced facilities could provide simulated electric shock rescue scenarios, giving the students hands-on experience to boost their safety awareness.

To further support the students, the volunteer team gifted new shoes and clothes to children in need, encouraging them to embrace the new semester with confidence.

After the event, the volunteers performed a thorough inspection of the school's electrical systems to address the potential risks. They also gathered feedback on the school's electrical needs, aiming to create a safer and more comfortable learning environment for the students, ensuring a bright start to the school year.
